Poverty Alleviation through Cleaner Energy
from Agro-industries in Africa (PACEAA)

Project website

PACEAA is a three-year project under the EU COOPENER programme, implemented by UNEP Risoe Centre, IED (France), AFREPREN/FWD (Kenya), and the East African Tea Trade Association (EATTA) based in Kenya.

The project addresses rural electrification as a means of alleviating poverty, in particular using electricity from agro-industries.

The three-year PACEAA project works together with two larger initiatives:
