	new planning concepts for rural electrification
	evaluation of rural electrification programmes
	increased access to modern energy in Africa

	analysis of processes at the ‘interface’ between donor’s and recipients in development interventions
	analysis of local development institutions
	development of institutional framework for rural electrification
	technical and economic assessment of biomass and other renewable energy technologies
